The Maria Mitchell Association offers a variety of internships at our Aquarium, Natural Science Museum, Observatories, Mitchell House, Administrative Office, and in our Summer Discovery Education Programs.

We were thrilled to have received over 760 applicants throughout all departments for our 2026 season and are inspired by the exceptional talent and enthusiasm from all who applied.
The Maria Mitchell Association internship program started in 1914 and since then has hosted over 650 interns!
Qualified undergraduates, recent graduates, and graduate students studying marine biology, the natural sciences, astronomy, education, non-profit development, history/art history/historic preservation, and communications and marketing are invited to apply.
