The Maria Mitchell Association is excited to announce the first-ever MMA Camp Alumni Reunion, taking place August 7, 2026. As we prepare for this special event, we’re reconnecting with former campers, collecting stories, and sharing updates.

The goal of the MMA Camp Alumni Network is to create a comprehensive alumni database that brings past campers together to share their experiences, memories, and photos—and to reconnect with old friends.

Camp alumni are invited to join the newly created Maria Mitchell Association Camp Alumni Network Facebook Group to reminisce and connect with others. If you have questions or prefer to sign up by email, please contact us at campalumni@mariamitchell.org.

This project is being conducted in collaboration with students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). A team of WPI students will be staying on Nantucket for eight weeks in the fall of 2025 to help build the Camp Alumni Network and assess the long-term impact of the MMA camps on participants’ careers, educational paths, and personal lives. Their report will help the MMA continue the parts of the program that have been most meaningful to alumni.
