  • Year-Round Island Family* - $125

    • *Year-Round Island Families are those families whose primary residence is Nantucket, and whose children are enrolled in one of Nantucket’s schools, or who are registered to vote on the island.
    • "Year-Round Island Family" members receive all member benefits for one year from the date of purchase. 
    • Number of Members Allowed: Two household adults named on card, and four of their children or grandchildren aged 18 or under.

Corporate Memberships

The MMA offers special memberships just for businesses. A Corporate Membership provides benefits for you, your staff, and your valued customers.

Cardinal - $250

Includes eight property passes to MMA facilities, a business spotlight in the e-Comet newsletter, admission to Member Only events, listing on MMA website with direct link to your business, and recognition in the MMA’s Annual Report.

Goldfinch - $500

Includes a 10% discount on a private program for employees or clients, fifteen property passes to MMA facilities, a business spotlight in the e-Comet newsletter, admission to Member Only events, listing on MMA website with direct link to your business, and recognition in the MMA’s Annual Report.

Oyster Catcher - $1,000

Includes six passes to an Open Night at Loines, one family membership, a 10% discount on a private program for employees or clients, twenty five property passes to MMA facilities, a business spotlight in the e-Comet newsletter, admission to Member Only events, listing on MMA website with direct link to your business, and recognition in the MMA’s Annual Report.

Memberships FAQs

  • Can I start using my MMA benefits right away?

    Yes! Regardless of how you join—online, in person, or over the phone— your MMA benefits are available to you as soon as you complete your purchase.

  • How long is a membership good for?

    Your membership is good for one year from the date of purchase.

  • Is my membership tax-deductible?

    The MMA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The amount of membership dues that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is the amount paid less the fair market value (FMV) of benefits provided in return, whether used or not. Our memberships are fully deductible. We always recommend that you consult a tax advisor with questions.

  • Who may be named on my membership?

    For all MMA membership levels, except the ‘Individual’ membership, you may name up to two adults residing in the same household. If you have a nanny, babysitter, or caregiver who regularly brings the children of the member household to visit, we are happy to note his or her name on your record.

  • How do I renew my membership?

    Explore our membership options on this page, and click on the respective button for the membership level you’d like to purchase. Technically there isn’t a “renew” option on our new membership management platform, so the process is just like purchasing a new membership. 

  • How do I avoid creating duplicate accounts if my membership has lapsed and I’d like to buy a new one?

    In order to associate a membership purchase with your existing account in our system, please enter your name and email as you did when you purchased the membership.

  • How do I use my membership on your system?

    After you purchase a membership, you’ll need to activate it by entering your information on this link. Please register using one of the names and emails associated with your active membership. 


    Once you’ve entered your email address and a password, you should see your email address at the top right corner of the page. This is how you know you’re signed in. You’ll also get an email confirming registration.  


    Our system should keep you logged in on your browser. Do verify you’re logged in when you’re ready to register for programs and camp. If not, just click on “Sign In” in that same corner. This ensures you’ll receive the member discounts for programs, and will allow you to register for Discovery Camp, which is only open to Members.


    Tip: We encourage you to write down the email address and password you enter when activating!


  • Are memberships refundable?

    Memberships are non-refundable. Please contact us for extenuating circumstances, at info@mariamitchell.org.
