Jodi Levesque
Jodi grew up on a farm in Iowa, where she spent most of her childhood outdoors, surrounded by animals and nature. Her family grew or raised much of their own food, instilling a strong ethic of sustainability and a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.
She moved to Nantucket in 1991 and built her career as a pastry chef, working in several well-known Nantucket restaurants before running her own wedding cake business.
A lifelong creative, Jodi later expanded her work into ceramics. Today, she brings that same creativity and attention to detail to her role in development at the Maria Mitchell Association, where she focuses on grant writing and fundraising to support science education and environmental programs.
After raising her two children on Nantucket, she is especially grateful to support an organization that played a meaningful role in their childhood.
Fun Fact: Jodi’s son was so drawn to the MMA Aquarium as a child that it was hard to pull him away. She even made him a birthday cake in the shape of a blue lobster!
