Step into a world of spectacle, wonder, and celebration at this year’s  Opening Night Celebration. Inspired by the magic of  The Night Circus and the bold energy of  The Greatest Showman, the evening invites guests beyond the ordinary into a night of joy, artistry, and shared delight.


Indulge in elevated bites and decadent sweets from Island Kitchen, paired with signature cocktails and refined pours at candlelit bars. As the evening unfolds, be captivated by a show-stopping circus performance, where acrobats and performers dazzle with breathtaking feats and theatrical storytelling.


The celebration continues with live music and spirited entertainment, keeping the energy alive as guests dance, mingle, and savor the magic of opening night. This is more than an opening night premiere party—it’s a jubilant celebration of imagination, artistry, and the thrill of being part of something extraordinary.

The Venardos Circus, a unique Broadway-Style Circus performance, has been touring the U.S. since its debut at the L.A. County Fair in 2014. It is reinventing the American Circus tradition for a new generation with Broadway-style flair, bringing joy to people across the U.S.


Theatre lovers and nostalgic circus fans alike will appreciate the intimate experience and sentimental way the show pays homage to circus traditions through the lens of high-quality entertainment for a modern family audience.


The dynamic cast features an extraordinary lineup of world-class acrobats, fearless aerialists, masterful hand balancers, lightning-fast jugglers, and laugh-out-loud comedians, all working together to create a seamless and immersive experience.

    We're excited to celebrate the legacy of Maria Mitchell, continue the mission of the MMA, and dance to live country music under the incredible Nantucket night sky. 


    Come wearing your best dancing boots be ready to raise your paddle in support the MMA's Summer Internship Program! 



  • How do I register for the auction?

    We will host both in-person and online auctions.

    Guest will recieve a paddle number upon arrival which will be used during our event programming. 


    Items presented during the event programming are exclusively available to ticketed guests of the 2026 Opening Night Celebration. 

  • Parking

    Field parking is provided for the convenience of our guests. Upon arrival, you'll be directed by our parking team on where best to park.


    We ask that guests carpool, uber, and taxi when possible.

  • Is my ticket tax deductible?

    Yes, a single $750 ticket purchased for the 2025 Stargazer Gala is tax deductible up to $550.

    A formal acknowledgment letter, which will include the tax-deductible portion of your donation, will be sent to the address provided during the registration process.


    In accordance with IRS regulations, the tax-deductible portion of your contribution to the Nantucket Maria Mitchell Association (Tax ID# 04-2129139) is limited to the excess of the contribution over the value of the goods and services we provided to you. 


    Acknowledgment letters should be retained in your records to substantiate any charitable income tax deduction claimed in connection with this gift.
