If you pay without the discount showing or are requesting other discounts, you will be responsible for all transaction/processing fees with a minimum charge of $25.
The medical release pick up form is now filled out as part of the registration process. DO NOT USE THE FORM ON THE REQUIRED MEDICAL FORMS PAGE OF THIS WEBSITE. That form is for volunteers and private program participants only. Before you register for camp make sure you have:
- Phone number for your child’s doctor
- Health insurance details
- Emergency contacts and phone numbers
- Names and contact info for people on your child’s pick up list
- Medication details if applicable
You will be notified of the required physical and immunization records during the registration process and will receive these details in the receipt/confirmation you receive upon registering. If you are still unsure, please visit the required medical forms page
Marine and Terrestrial Ecology Register
During this program, students will explore the diverse marine and terrestrial ecosystems all around Nantucket Island. Participants will study topics such as fish and invertebrate anatomy, physical oceanography, marine and terrestrial ecology, as well as animal classification and behaviors. They will participate in activities including snorkeling, seining, hiking, kayaking, beach combing, animal tracking, and volunteering in our aquarium. Additional opportunities may include fish and invertebrate dissections, fish printing, plankton collections, shellfishing, and more! Please note: Participants must be able to demonstrate strong swimming skills in order to snorkel. We ask that all students interested in volunteering at the aquarium or museum complete at least one of the NLP courses.

Community Service and Ecology Register
In addition to exploring marine and terrestrial ecosystems, learning skills that will enable you to volunteer in the MMA Aquarium and Natural History Museum, and going on adventures around Nantucket, this course offers you the opportunity to work with other conservation organizations. Throughout the week, you will gain 5 hours of community service with our partners including the Nantucket Islands Land Bank and the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. You will learn skills such as identifying and mapping invasive plants using a professional app, techniques for bundling Phragmites, and you will turn your collected beach trash into a found items educational sculpture that will be on display at the MMA Aquarium. We ask that all students interested in volunteering at the aquarium or museum complete at least one of the NLP courses.
