In a typical year, over 50 volunteers contribute over 1,000 hours of their time to help the Maria Mitchell Association run its programs, museums, and research. The MMA relies on generous gifts of time and talent from volunteers. Our small but dedicated staff needs help with many projects across all departments, ranging from feeding animal, assisting with research, to preparing mailings.

Students
Volunteering positions are almost all scheduled for 2013! If you have completed the Naturalist Leadership Program or are a student in high school or college and would like to volunteer at the Aquarium or Natural Science Museum, please email Andrew Mckenna-Foster for the application.
